Funding for automotive work placements

University students can apply for up to €2,000 in financial support from FISITA to help meet the costs of overseas work or study placements they have organised as part of their engineering studies at university.

An overseas engineering work placement could be an essential component of a course, and there are good reasons to organise it, as students would:

  • Get essential industry experience
  • Receive industry‐standard training
  • Find out where their strengths are and what they are good at
  • Prepare the first job in the auto industry

Applications for the Student Travel Bursary can be submitted for either of 2 deadlines, depending upon when placement takes place.
